Day 5 - Lots of Adventure

Day 5 was an up and down day due to the weather changing frequently and everyone getting tired.  The boys went across the street today for breakfast at the Beach Shanty instead of the breakfast buffet.

What should we do today, wrestle, sleep, read, watch TV, watersports?  Hunter was pushing for wrestling...

Looks like Logan voted for more sleep and Brendan was just having fun

So the day got started with Logan, Jackson, Haley and Drake heading off to Parasail.  The usual paperwork, fittings and wait for the boat to return, then they were off.

That was an awesome adventure

No energy for volleyball, but the thinking man's game of chess on the beach hit the spot.  Congrats Frank for the vitory.

The boys all headed off for lunch after the chess game.  John and Brendan went through Jet Ski testing and then waited their turn to take a 30 minute ride.  According to both the salt water in the eyes starts to wear you down.  They had some pretty good size waves to manuever through, but had a blast.  Unfortunately no pictures were catured.  Around 3:30 the sun started popping out between the clouds, so a game of volleyball cranked up.  Janie played the first three games and provided some very good entertainment for the boys.  She is a good server, but struggled in the sand as she kept saying.  "This is a lot harder than it looks".  No pictures of her face planting a couple of times, but she did wrestle Frank and Hunter into a snapshot before everyone bolted for water, etc.

 

After a spirited second set, everyone took off to get cleaned up and ready for dinner.  Tonight is all you can eat crab legs at Cooters.  So we headed over for dinner and watched the Miami Heat come back to beat the Celtics. 

 

Janie, Drake, Logan, Hunter, Jackson and Brendan all feasted on crab legs.  Everyone else opted for a variation of fish except there were a couple of burger eaters.  The guy at the table next to us took on the 1.5 pound hamburger challenge.

Quite a few rounds were put down by the all you can eat eaters.  Good job team!

1.5 lb burger, fries and coleslaw.  Eat in an hour and its free...he only made it about a 3rd of the way.

Last night out we believe will be at the hot tub again, however right now pretty loud in the room as we approach midnight.  Full of last night energy. 

We have a late check out setup and there is a shower for anyone that wants to push beach fun till the end.  Shuttle picks them up at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow for the airport.  I'll post another blog sometime after that and if you are interested in the rest of the trip feel free to check in later in the week.
